Head coach Mitch Stewart is pleased to announce the signing of 23 student-athletes that have chosen to further their educational and football careers at Murray State. Wednesday’s signings from National Signing Day join seven others that signed in the early signing period. There are 24 total recruiting stars represented in the 2019 class, a record in the five-year tenure of Stewart, with a four-star, six three-stars and a two-star.
This year’s class includes six defensive lineman, six wide receivers, four defensive backs, four offensive lineman, three linebackers, two athletes, two quarterbacks, two running backs and a kicker. Geographically, this year’s class had a local flair with nine signees from Tennessee and eight from Kentucky. Florida was next in line with five, while four member of this year’s class hail from Georgia. Rounding out the homes of the signees are Alabama with two and Mississippi and Illinois with one each.
